Bright Day Foundation
Our story begins with a heartfelt journey driven by personal experiences. As a resident of the United States working in healthcare, I lost my cherished childhood friend to mental health challenges. In honor of his memory, I am passionate about establishing a foundation back in Ethiopia, where the mental health landscape faces significant gaps, leaving many young people in distress.
Joining forces with me is Mulunesh G. Michael, a businesswoman and investor who draws inspiration from her own firsthand experiences with disability within her family. Witnessing the daily challenges faced by her disabled family member, Mulunesh envisions addressing this issue by extending support to economically disadvantaged families. United by our shared commitment, we have initiated this endeavor on a small scale, utilizing our personal funds. Our goal is to eventually register and secure licensing in both the United States and the Ethiopian government. This will pave the way for broader participation, enabling direct contributions, donations, and volunteer involvement in our mission to assist those in need. Together, we aspire to make a meaningful impact and foster positive change in the lives of the vulnerable populations we aim to support.
